RJ’S NEW SINGLE “SURVIVE” HELPS RAISE MONEY FOR CHICAGO NONPROFITS
RJ has teamed up with fellow Chicago artists Caleb Taylor, Pia Renee, Rhyan Lamarr, Genius Picaso (producer) and Charlie Davis (writer) to create his new single titled “Survive” that with along with the music video will be released on Monday, September 7th (Labor Day). The song’s hook, “don’t you get fed up, just pick your head up, just lift your hands high, we gon’ survive” encapsulates trying to survive everything that is going on in Chicago and all over the world today from the coronavirus pandemic to social justice issues.
In hopes of making a lasting difference with this song, RJ along with the other artists involved decided to create and sell a protective facemask with the single cover art on it with all profits going towards charity. All proceeds will be split between two local organizations,The Chicago Community COVID-19 Response Fund, which supports nonprofit organizations in vulnerable neighborhoods suffering from the effects of the virus, and the Chicago basedBy The Hand Kids Club which helps children who live in under-resourced neighborhoods have an abundant life.
