Hailing from Bellwood, IL, a suburb just 13 miles west of Chicago's downtown Loop, RJ's journey to musical acclaim has been propelled by an innate passion and unbounded creativity. From his early appearances in advertisements and commercials, often alongside his twin brother, to his evolving roles as a singer and songwriter, RJ's exceptional vocal prowess consistently takes center stage.

Inspired by iconic figures like Michael Jackson, James Brown, Luther Vandross, and Jamie Foxx, RJ's love for singing led him to a collegiate choir scholarship at Saint Joseph’s College (Rensselaer, IN), where he honed his skills and delivered electrifying performances at his local church, captivating thousands with his soulful voice. RJ's aspiration to inspire through music motivated him to create his own compositions, resulting in a collection of positive and upbeat tracks that resonate universally.

In 2016, RJ's full-time music career took flight, emerging from personal adversity including the loss of his educator job due to budget cuts and the subsequent need to sell his house. RJ's unwavering determination yielded his breakout hit, "Good Day," an uplifting anthem born from his darkest hours that soon became a catalyst for his solo journey. This inspirational track was followed by the EP "A Good Day…," touching hearts with its message of resilience and hope.

RJ's music radiates positivity and has resonated far and wide, with his tracks featured on major networks like ABC, Fox, NBC, and WGN, and even echoing through the aisles of Kroger-owned stores, creating an atmosphere of joy and inspiration. RJ's original compositions that have graced national television, include the sync licensing of his song "Good Day" on the widely watched Kenan show on NBC and as the theme song for the Fox Good Day Chicago newscast and promotional commercials. His musical talents also reached the big screen, with his song "Haunted by My Past" featured in The Assumptions movie.
